Bardejov Old Town
First day of our trip we spent in Bardejov. We got there by our car, driving just 1,5 hours from Rzeszow, Poland.
Bardejov exhibits numerous cultural monuments in its completely intact medieval town center. From 2000 the town is one of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites.
On the Austro-Hungarian style main square of the town, we found many cafes, pubs with local beer, restaurants with regional cuisine, and stores selling local wine (you can taste them in the store and it is really worth doing!). The old town is surrounded by the defense walls, on which we took a walk around, after our feast.

Zborovsky Hrad
The next day we decided to go to Zborov Castle (Slovak Zborovsky Hrad). It took us around 10-15 min driving (8km) from our Hotel in Bardejov.
The Castle was built in the second half of the 13th century as a Hungarian royal fortress, guarding the ancient trade route from Hungary to Poland. Although the castle is now ruined, its residue is very romantic and the view from the castle hill shows the beautiful surrounding valley and highland.
